3 months isn't the longest term, but it absolutely looks like a reliable ATO. It's accurate, snails don't muck with its sensor, no moving parts to fail.. It's exactly what I was looking for.
My particular unit DID come missing the dry side magnet, which was rectified with lightning fast delivery from the company (24hr envelope). The little DC pump is also nice, as this ATO will kick on and off many times a day if in a smaller tank like mine.

WHAT IS QSD TECHNOLOGY?
The Smart ATO Micro is a unique Auto Top Off system that monitors and automates refilling evaporated water. Best of all it is very easy to install and contains no moving parts that can fail. This ATO comes integrated with QST (Quick SecurityTechnology) which provides real-time fail safe protection against failure. You simply move the optical sensor to adjust the desired water level within your sump. Its that easy!

I have been running the Smart ATO for over one month. It is well worth the purchase. I was able to purchase it on sale but even without the sale, it is very reliable and maintains the water level with confidence. Everything you need including the proper pump is included along with the tubing. Plug and Play. I wanted a ATO that I didn't have to worry about when I was away and this is the answer. I really don't think there should be a question after reading many problem reviews with others. Some become confused in the programing causing flooding and of course some become blocked due to aquarium waste. Just with caution I wife the indicator light to make sure the signal is always clear. Premier was great in getting this to me and as always quick delivery.
