The Radion comes standard with HEI Wide Angle Optics designed to maximize coverage while delivering a balanced and well-blended spectrum. For users looking to maximize output intensity, the High Intensity (Narrow Angle) Lens Kit provides a significant increase in intensity (PAR) in exchange for a reduction in spread. The flexibility this accessory brings to the Radion can be particularly beneficial for users mounting lights further from the aquarium, are looking for more light penetration in the aquarium or are looking to improve efficiency when less spread is needed.

The High Intensity (Narrow Angle Optic) Kit alters Radion light output to increase intensity and reduce spread.

Each kit includes a single High Intensity (Narrow Angle Optic) Lens and necessary hardware for installation on Radion G5, or G6, XR15 or XR30. The High Intensity (Narrow Angle Optic) Lens also features varying lens finishes to increase shimmer and caustics.

Key Features:

Reduction of Light Output Angle: The High Intensity Lens focuses light output, this increases intensity in a smaller area and reduces light spillage in some applications. Total coverage area (spread) is reduced. The output angle on a Radion XR30 G6 is reduced from roughly 120 degrees (standard HEI Lens) to 80 degrees (High Intensity Lens). The total peak PAR in the coverage area has increased by as much as 65%.

Increased PAR Values: By concentrating the light, the High Intensity Lens increases the potential PAR (Photosynthetically Active Radiation) value, which is essential for the growth and photosynthesis of corals and other light-dependent organisms.

Evolved Caustics: The High Intensity Lens includes different finishes on the Lens. This further enhances the intensity of caustics and “shimmer” of the light output complementing the use of the narrow angle optics.

Easy Installation: The High Intensity Lens Kit is designed for easy installation and can be easily fitted on your Radion LED fixture with basic tools. It is a user-friendly accessory that seamlessly integrates easily into your lighting setup.
