Reef Octopus Water Blaster Circulation Pump
The Water Blaster pumps are based off the same design as the popular Bubble Blaster skimmer pumps but intended to thrust large amounts of water. These pumps feature a digital control circuit board inside that controls directional start up and RPM speeds. The smart circuit board will shut the pump off if it detects a problem that could otherwise have shortened the life of the pump. The Silicone Nitride shafts and bearings deters calcium buildup on the rotor unlike ceramic. This means less maintenance and cleaning and more time for you to enjoy your aquarium instead of working on it! With the performance of these pumps and backing a 2-year warranty how can you go wrong. We offer several different models for water flow and head pressures.

Note: THIS IS NOT A PRESSURE RATED PUMP. This pump is not ideal for second floor applications or to feed Beckett or downdraft skimmers where consistent pressure is necessary.

MAINTENANCE
Sand and lime deposits may increase the wear of the shaft & bearings considerably and may lead to the exclusion of warranty. To maintain efficient performance of the pump, periodic cleaning is required. Thoroughly clean the pump, the drive assembly and the cooling duct in regular intervals, at least once every six months. In case of high lime content, a lot of sediment or failures, shorter intervals may be necessary.

WARNING: Always unplug or disconnect the pump from the electrical supply before servicing the pump, while the equipment is being installed or when being handled. When inserting or removing the pump from the water, always disconnect main electrical plug. Never yank the cord to pull the plug from outlet. Grasp the plug and pull to disconnect. Always unplug an appliance from an outlet when not in use. Never lift the pump by the cord.
