The skimmer works quietly and efficiently to remove contaminants from your aquarium, leaving the water clean, clear and healthy for your marine life. To be installed in sump, water level 22 cm. How it works? The Ultra Reef BOREI UKB range of protein skimmers is a method of filtration that allows the removal of  the surfactants from seawater. It pumps a mixture of  quarium water and air bubbles into a mixing chamber. By exploiting the properties of the film surface tension between air and water, it generates a foam overflowing from the main chamber, and then into a collection cup which allows for easy removal.Quality craftsmanship down to the screwsThe Ultra Reef products are based on Italian design and production.  The Ultra Reef BOREI UKB fitted with a new HYDOR DC needle wheel pump designed especially by Hydor, which injects large volumes of air into the water. This produces a concentrated layer of foam and allows surfactants to be filtered out of the tank. This minimises degradation, enhances oxygenation and leaves tank water exceptionally clean and clear. Precise adjustment and electronic pumpSkimmer's internal water level regulation is achieved by an innovative rotational system. 

 

The entire skimmer rotate on its base do open and close the regulation valve. The DC pumps includes an easy-to-use controller, which integrate a speed regulation system, a 60 second "delayed start" (after blackout) and a 5 minutes “pause” button.Modular mounting systemThe skimmer can be easily disassembled by removing a single screw. All the acrylic parts and the mechanisms are assembled by means of coupling systems and Easy Flip gaskets, which allow you to remove all the components during the cleaning of the unit. 

 

Composed of very few pieces it can be assembled or disassembled in a few seconds. Quieter than a whisperThe skimmer has an integrated silencer that minimises the noise caused by the air during pumping. The compact exhaust system is submerged in the base of the skimmer for silent operation as the clean water is discharged back into the tank. Rubber feet on the bottom absorb vibrations.
