I bought an older model acrylic tank that had stand pipes for drains. I was just going to install a durso style drain but there was no room in the over flow boxes. So i ran my drains as is. Well doing created lots of gurgling and surging. Installed the muffler and the sound was no longer. I could not be happier. If you get this item for your overflow, make sure to account for the diameter of the muffler. Thanks Jason and Luke for getting back to me via email. Prompt customer service 👍.
