This rock is pretty expensive at some other stores, but premium aquatics hooked me up with 5 really nice pieces upon my request. Total weight was 42 pounds and it by far exceeded my expectations. Priced out at some other places and I would be paying twice as much since they sell per piece not by the lb. Best base rock for creating stable foundation to build your aquascape on. Unique shapes and very porous. Beautiful rock. Thanks Premium l!

Buying this by the pound get you about twice the rock that buying it by the piece delivers.
No fancy box, no bubble wrap; just great value.
Rock in the size range you want wrapped with heavy paper.
I asked for smaller pieces and my15 lbs = 5 medium pieces with no breakage. Super happy with this - don't pat for fancy packaging.

Ordered 25# of foundation. Requested 4-5 largest possible. Received 4 BEAUTIFUL GIGANTIC foundation rocks. They were very carefully packaged and not even a fragment was broken off when they got here.

So I made the mistake of buying a $15 1lb foundation rock from a competitor that was completely useless in building an aquascape. I ordered 20 lbs of the rock and replied to the order confirmation with what I was looking for. I requested 2 large 10"+ pieces and the rest in smaller pieces. The smallest piece was bigger than what I got from their competitor and the two big pieces are massive. EXACTLY what I was looking for.
