Summary:
Really happy with this pump.
In love with the single pump head form factor, just buy what you need and overall quality appears very good.
Details:
Silly:
>Included clear tubing smells...bad. No way is it going near my pets.
>I wish the case was less rounded for more secure stacking.
>Too much foam packing material. Yes, I love generic boxes padded with paper.
Bad:
I think connecting the pump to the app so you can control it it far easier than the instructions describe it. Connected, but the process for me was not as described. (Android 10 phone)
Great:
The pump does stay connected to the app when powered and remembers it's setting through power cycles. Always starts right where it left off.
The form factor is really small; not a space hog or as crazy to stack as the odd shaped pumps named after an old set of pc commands...
The power cube is fairly low profile, flat rather than on edge. The power cube neatly fits the GHL Powerbar 6E with USA outlets with room for additional power cubes on either side.
Calibration is easy using the app and included graduated cylinder.
My installation has the pump in continuous cycle, 0.1 ml/ minute (1 rpm)of kalkwasser from my basement to the first floor. It has the power controlled by my GHL controller and stops dosing just before my water change of the day or if the pH exceeds 8.3 (hasn't yet).
Priming is super easy, manual output is super easy, schedule or plan dosing looked like it had many options - I did not try it.
Really quiet at low flow, typical pump noise at higher flows (quieter with tubing attached) The stepper motor is as quiet as I have heard for the same flow rate.
