The Margarita is our core product and offers a full-bodied, well-rounded buffet of essential nutrition for your reef. By natural design, it has only positive impact on water quality, helping to ensure a healthy and thriving reef.
• Protein content: Approximately 30-70% wet weight.
Proteins involved in photosynthesis (bacteriochlorophyll proteins), nitrogen fixation, electron transport, carbon metabolism and metabolic processes.
Key Proteins includes: photosynthetic proteins, cytochromes, and enzymes for energy production, anaerobic respiration and cellular functions.
• Amino acids form a significant portion of the protein content.
• Amino acid content: Integral to protein synthesis.
• Key amino acids: glutamine, glutamate, asparagine, aspartate, glutamate, alanine, valine, glycine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, and tryptophan, arginine, threonine and isoleucine.
CARBOHYDRATES

Major carbohydrate: glycogen (storage polysaccharide).

Lipid content: Approximately 10-20% wet weight.
Heavy Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) & Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA)
Includes phospholipids (e.g., phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylglycerol) which are major components of cellular membranes, glycolipids, and neutral lipids.
