Kolar Labs Crystal Cal is a premium, laboratory grade, granular activated carbon designed to remove

organic pollutants in freshwater and marine aquariums. Processing the sub-bituminous coal base with

high temperature steam creates a very high surface area, mesoporous structure for rapid capture of

tannins, odors, medications, and other common organic contaminants to promote clean and healthy

aquariums. In contrast, coconut shell activated carbons have a microporous structure that is too small

to effectively remove organic pollutants found in aquariums. Crystal Cal is produced to rigorous food
