What does it do, and how does it work..?

The "RO Buddy" blends water from both your hot and cold water lines, to achieve an optimal operating temperature range of 75-80 degrees. All RO membranes are performance rated for a specific GPD (gallons per day). When a typical system is properly installed, it is connected to the cold water line that has a working temp of anywhere from 52-60 degrees... The best case scenario leaves you with a performance reduction of 25-30%, and in many cases, as much as a 50% loss in performance. Now you can actually get 75gpd with your 75gpd rated unit!

With more and more municipalities adding excessive levels of Chlorine and Chloramines, the "RO Buddy" acts as yet 1 more stage in your purification system, by pre-filtering this water as it's being blended. By allowing the carbon molecules to begin attacking the organics early on, the level of work required by the various filter stages within your RO/DI unit is reduced. Phosphates, Nitrates and Ammonia will also be affected by the bonding of Carbon molecules.

By increasing your product output by as much as 50%, you are also increasing the flow rate and line pressure of the product water. This greatly aids in delivery where there is a head pressure, as in from a basement to an upper level.

When used specifically for filtration, "RO Buddy" is rated for approximately 300-500 gallons of final product water, or roughly 1500 gallons total (including waste water). This equates to roughly 1 year of service life for the average aquariast. Setting aside the obvious benefits of carbon pre-filtration, and using our product solely as a performance booster for increased water production, "RO Buddy" will easily last several years.

"RO Buddy" uses push-type fittings and comes complete with everything you'll need to connect it to your existing RO or RO/DI unit. The kit includes 1 mixing filter, 5 feet each of red and blue tubing, 1 supply valve and 1 pair of mounting brackets.
