I bought these to use as laminar flow powerheads with a wavemaker. After a couple of on-off cycles, the powerheads would not start. If I put my hand in the tank and tapped the powerhead, it would work for a few more cycles and then stop again.
Converted back to pump configuration, and they are working with the wavemaker. But the volume of water movement does not seem to be as much as it was in laminar flow configuration.
