I have had this skimmer for about a year now and am VERY happy with it. I did have an issue where the power supply died in the first few days of use but RE had amazing customer service and sent me a replacement right away. It was one of the quickest and easiest replacements I have dealt with. The skimmer has worked perfectly since then. I have it on a 280 gallon mixed reef tank that it seems well matched for. I get dark skimmate without any need for frequent adjustments. I would recommend this skimmer to anyone that can muster the price.

Yes, you do get what you pay for.The build quality is just outstanding. I installed this skimmer on a 180 gallon reef tank with 15 fish and softies,LPS's and SPS's.The second day it was already pulling more skimmate than my previous skimmer, a Reef Dynamics INS250. This is really impressive because the INS250 is a very good skimmer. I have a 48"x18"x18" sump and a 36"x18"x16" refugium in my system to give you an idea of system water volume. With the RD3 Speedy pump,adjustments are very easy and precise.
