Flow through this reactor depends on what size reactor you choose to run and the volume of Vertex Pro-Bio Pellets you are using. You want enough flow to completely lift the pellets up, completely suspending them within the filter chamber, similar to fluidized gfo or sand filtration. Below are some suggested pumps for the size of reactor you are running. PUMP IS NOT INCLUDED IN PACKAGE

For running 500ml or less we suggest using the following pumps;
Maxijet 1200
Eheim 1048
Tunze Silence 1073.020 (Will have to throttle back) (Highly recommended)

For running 1000ml or more we suggest the following pumps:
Maxijet 3000 Utility Pump
Tunze Silence 1073.020 (highly recommended)
Tunze Silence 1073.040
Tee'd off the sump return
