(06/02/2008) - The review on the bottom (rated 1) is ridiculous! My friend did exactly that. He took smallish sized rocks and epoxyed them together to make a larger one. Worked great. Did the reviewer ever think it might take longer than 20 minutes for it to cure completely? Duh! Overnight and they would be solid and perfect. I use this stuff constantly because I grow corals and it works awesome. Sure, it's impossilbe to use on a smooth part of a rock. Think clay that hardens. Clay won't have anything to grab onto if the rock is smooth, but get a liitle hole, crack, or nub and use the epoxy to attach to that and it works perfect. Also, use more than a marble sized piece! Oh, and use some common sense when figuring out where to attach it and how to use it! LOL
I'd be lost without it. Probably used 2 dozen tubes over the years! Totally recommended!
(02/28/2008) - for attaching coral to live rock. it can be used for adhering live rock together, but one has to be experienced with the product to do so as it doesnt actually adhere to the rock itself all that well..... it more or less stablizes the rockwork together. you can't be shy in using this product, if you don't use enough for the task it won't work. it becomes quite expensive to use properly, but we don't enter this hobby to save money...lol.
(10/21/2006) - Bought some of this with the idea of holding some rocks together, but unfortunatly it does not stick to rock.
I let the rocks sit dry while being mashed together with a marble sized ball of epoxy for about 20 min. then I wiggled it to see if it was bonding and the rocks just came apart.
This was PA rock rubble by the way.
throwing the rest away
