(04/16/2007) - Works wonders in my reef tank and is totally reliable. I have had mine for almost a year, and never any mechanical problems. I don't give it a 5 only because of price and occasional back suction into my refugium when I turn the pump off.

(03/29/2007) - I have been running 2 of the 3/4" models flawlessly on my 120gal reef for a year so far. They are beeing fed by a Mag18 return pump. My corals and fish absolutely love the varied current provided by these units.

(07/19/2004) - Great product. I've had two of them for two years. I've sent each back to the factory for service one time. Got it back in my tank in less than 1 week with no repair charge. Excellent service.

(06/01/2004) - Excellent product for SPS tanks. Add SCWQ with this unit in a closed loop and you have the best of both worlds. I have had mine for over a year with no issues but even 1 a yr is worth spending the money in my opinion. I am using a Mag 9 as a return pump on a 4 ft head.

(06/01/2004) - The products works as advertised, great wavemaking. The only problem is the life of the product. It only lasted 1 year. The 1/2" model only lasted 2 years

(06/04/2007) - I purchased 2 to use in a 135 gal reef with a 52 gal sump and pushing approx. 1250+ gph on two Sea Swirl 1". The results are quite amazing as there are no dead spots. I only wish that there were more attachments to pick from that can offer a variety of flow; otherwise I give this unit my "two thumbs up!" I do not think that a wavemaker or other powerhead devices are needed.

(06/01/2004) - The SeaSwirl 1" is being used on a 125 reef with a 1100gph pump. The results are great, very good circulation through out the tank. No need of wavemaker or other pumps so the tank is clean, no other devices need to be in the tank, and quite. I am on the 2nd unit, the first had a defective drive motor that got noisey. Highly recommend this device.
