Pan World Pumps Asia Pacific is a member of the Pan World Group, Japan. Pan World is a leading maker of magnetic drive pumps. It produces one of the widest ranges in the world. Also know by Blueline HD pumps in the USA. These pumps were designed and built by the former chief engineer from Iwaki-Japan. They feature similar flow rates and head pressure. They offer low noise, and reliablity that have made Iwaki the best magnetic drive pumps available. The PanWorld pumps are even a little more quiet then Iwaki, they have a full 2 year parts and labor guarantee. All seal-free bearings and magnetic drive for many years of trouble free use. These pumps also include the Powercord, something iwaki leaves off.

(09/27/2006) - Very nice and powerful pump for 590gph. It is making a great return pump for my 90g tank.. It really is not as loud as everyone says
(04/30/2006) - this pump drives a single penductor beautifully! The increase in flow is simply amazing. Very high quality pumps.
(08/24/2005) - I had to replace my failed Iwaki 30RLT and wanted a change. The Panworld pumps were recommended by PA and took a chance. I installed it last night and its great! It is about a third as loud as my Iwaki was and the tank is running cooler now too. Highly recommended.
(12/01/2004) - I really like these blue line pumps. You can't beat the price/performance ratio. The 50PX is used as my main circ. pump for my 90 gallon reef tank. It really has some power for its size. I must note, however, that if you step up from the 40PX, be prepared for an appreciable step up in noise as well. I wish it could be as quiet as the 40PX, which, in my opinion, is the best pump in the line. I beleive this is due to the 50PX end cap being vented for cooling, which transmits that all too familiar turbine whine. The 40PX and smaller models do not feature this. All pumps of the 50PX size and larger (including Iwaki) have this feature, so you can't avoid it. Overall, a good quality pump that is indeed a workhorse.
(03/09/2009) - This pump is quiet and is very strong. My 30inch Pacu's water is finally clean.
(04/05/2007) - Lots of flow. Well built. Had do dial it down a bit with a gate valve. The pump itself is not loud. The fan on the back of the pump may sound loud to those who are used to in sump pumps. Also, if you stand has the back open and is not very close to the wall it could sound loud.
(12/07/2006) - I bought this pump to use as my recirc-pump on my 180. It is very, very quiet and I have had no problems to date. I would definitely purchase another Pan-World for my next pump.
