    This timer offers an excellent lower cost alternative to a full fledge wavemaker. The main drawback is this model does not have soft start which protects your powerheads. The Maxijet Brand powerhead is the only powerhead we would recommend for this timer since it's much more durable of a powerhead.

    (06/01/2004) - I've had one of these for a few years now with Maxijet powerheads, and it is a great budget-concious alternative to more expensive wave-making devices.
