(11/02/2007) - Works great, consistent, which is great for a skimmer. I use it on the Reeflo 250 for a feed pump and it works very well. Only drawback is as mentioned above, it does run rather warm. In a large system this is not a big deal but in a small system heat could be an issue if used submerged.

(03/20/2006) - I bought this pump a month ago and it works fine and it's quite. But, when I change my filter (custom canister filter) I get a little air in the line, and this pump oscilates/cavitates. It stops pumping and just sits there making all kinds of angry noises! It takes about 15-20 minutes of baby-sitting it (pulsing my cutoff valvues to force pressure through the system) to get all the air forced out of the system. Then I have to put up with a few hours of annoying sounds from the pump until it finnaly gets rid of the last few air bubbles. Also, this pump runs hot. Other than the air bubbles problem, it runs fine. But I will not be buying another MagDrive pump again.
