(03/16/2005) - Very blue, no need for actinic supplementation. Not quite as bright as 10k, but really nice bulbs. Had since Thanksgiving, really better color than my 6500 Iwasakis
(02/25/2009) - I really like the Hamilton 14K metal halides. This is a good 14K - nice blue/white look. Really one of the nicest bulbs around.
(01/29/2005) - These bulbs give you a beautiful blue-white color... something I've looked for in other bulbs and not found. I currently have two of these and a 10K 250w XM over my 180g reef and simply love the color. Coral growth has not been as strong as with pure 10ks, but the color is fantastic.
